1977-82: Ambulance Technician and Paramedic (1980), Davis Ambulance Service, Davis, California.
1983 - present: Practicing Physicians Assistant at Health Associates Medical Group in Sacramento, California, a nutrient oriented general practice (1986). Practice specialty experiences include: Family Practice, Nutrition, Prevention, Cardiology, Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement, Allergy, Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. Presently practices at Health Associates Medical Group, 3301 Alta Arden #3, Sacramento, CA 95825. Open call-in hour 8-9 Monday – Friday.
1989 - 2005: Publisher and founder of Clinical Pearls Publications, Inc, [formerly Information Transfer Services (ITServices)]. The Clinical Pearls Publications were derived from an ever-accumulating database of more than 42,000 articles from peer review literature focused on current nutrition and integrative medicine research. The data came from scanning 1000-1200 medical journals on a monthly basis and summarizing 100-140 of these articles. This data was incorporated into Clinical Pearls One-Liners, a monthly health letter (formerly Clinical Pearls News, 1991 - 2004) for professionals which was available in print and on the internet. Clinical Pearls One-Liners included referenced article summaries; a Disease and Case of the Month;, and 1-2 Expert Speak Interviews. From1989-2001 there were 13 annual printed Clinical Pearls volumes of nutrition and integrative medicine research; More than 600 Experts Speak Interviews of peer review researchers/physicians from around the world on nutrition and integrative medicine topics were completed between 1996 and 2004 when the rights to the Clinical Pearls Publications were sold to Tishcon Corp. To date there are more than 850 Experts SpeakInterviews archived at www.Vitasearch.com where the Clinical Pearls Database is located. In 1997 Asthma: Clinical Pearls in Nutrition and Complementary Therapies was published asa user-friendly resource book for professionals and the lay public containing treatment protocols, self-help charts and over 600 medical references.
1987-92: Radio co-host: Questioning Health. A weekly review of current nutrition articles and open call-in.
1995: Radio host: Prescription 2000. A weekly one hour show with interviews from peer review researchers on nutrition and integrative medicine topics; article reviews; open phones for questions from a Northern California audience.
2000 - present: Development and sales of a vegan dietary nutritional supplement line - Prescription 2000.
2004: The rights to the Clinical Pearls Database, The Experts Speak Interviews and Weekly Updates were purchased by Tishcon Corp. rendering the Clinical Pearls Publications free of charge to the public and health professionals on the internet at www.vitasearch.com.
2005 - present: Continues to produce 4-5 Experts Speak Interviews per month for www.vitasearch.com.
2008 - present: “Staying Healthy In The Fast Lane” (single lecture overview or 8 part series).
2009 - present: Staying Healthy Today radio show. Interviews of experts in the fields of nutrition, prevention and integrative medicine available as podcasts and downloads.
Special Interests: Teaching health and a positive lifestyle, community service, spiritual growth, swing and salsa dancing, body surfing, vegetarianism, alternative energy, conservation and recycling.
