Curcumin (Flexofytol ®), 3 caps in the morning (on an empty stomach, right before breakfast) and 3 caps in the evening for 3 months, each capsule containing 42 mg of bio-optimized curcumin mixed with polysorbate (Tween 80®) in 22 patients with knee OA demonstrated that curcumin decreased the level of Coll2-1 (specific biomarker of cartilage degradation), meaning that curcumin reach the joint and decrease the cartilage degradation.
